A cut which breaks up the shot flow, either by design or accident, by doing something unexpected.

Juxtaposition
Different images, sounds or elements placed together in sequence to force a comparison or contemplation of their relationship…Something like that anyway.




KELVIN
Kelvin temperature scale. Named after William Thomson, Lord Kelvin (1824-1907) who developed the idea of the absolute temperature scale. On this scale the coldest temperature possible is 0 degree Kelvin which is equal to -273 degrees C

Key light
The main light illuminating the subject .

Kicker
A position for the backlight which will usually hit a person’s cheek.

Kilowatt
1000 watts.
